Nordic Valley Utah Ski Resort, though tiny in comparison to Snowbasin and Powder Mountain, it is an affordable option for those just learning, wanting to warm up their legs on arrival day or get in a couple of final hours prior to departure. It has a good number of runs, several of which are quite steep and some that are for the beginner skier.
Utah's snow is unusually dry, earning it the reputation of having the world's greatest powder. Living in the valley gives you a sense of living in your own world so you would never imagine Salt Lake City International Airport is within an hour's drive of Ogden Valley, approximately 40 miles.
And let's not forget Pineview Lake that has a surface area of 2,874 acres. This warm water lake gets quite crowded on summer weekends and so the number of boat launches is limited to 300. There is also the unforgettable Eden Hot Air Balloon Festival in August and the spectacular 4th of July Events in Huntsville and Liberty Days in Liberty.
