HOW ARE YOU?
Please know of our care and concern for you, your family, loved ones especially the elderly and immunocompromised during the coronovirus outbreak. There is nothing more precious than our families! The sudden shift to home schooling and virtual work from home, has no doubt created some alterations in your normal routine and been challenging. We hope that you have created a safe haven based on the 15 points to slow the spread. We are all in this together and need to work together in order to protect the most vulnerable among us.
A BIG SHOUT OUT OF GRATITUDE!!
To all the medical professionals, supply chain workers and all those working to keep us going, thank you!
RESORTS CLOSED EARLY
Snowbasin, Powder Mountain and Nordic Valley Ski Resorts have all shut down early to curb the spread of the COVID-19 virus. The snow was amazing this year! Thanks for the great winter season.
ENJOY THE OUTDOORS OGDEN VALLEY STYLE
We are so fortunate to live in an area where so many activities are right on our door step. Road biking has already begun. Snow shoeing, cross country skiing, fishing, dark night star gazing, hiking, horseback riding and walking the many beautiful trails are all ways to get outside. Soon the trails will be ready for mountain biking and motorcycles. Organize a scavenger hunt for your family or take them Bird watching both are great in the Ogden Valley, as we are on the seasonal route for many species of birds.
We are still conducting business as normal but with safety protocols in place and limited contact. We have many tools at our disposal to make this process seamless including Facetime, virtual tours and professional online documentation signing.
Let's Support Local Business Owners
Most restaurants in the area are not serving inside but do allow for curbside pickup. Some like Ogden Valley Pizza are still delivering. Mad Moose Cafe is taking phone orders for curbside pickup. Check out your favorites to see if you can treat yourself or your family to a meal to-go!
FINANCIAL OUTLOOK
While the stock market is fluctuating and feels uncertain there are many questions about investments and real estate. Here is what we do know, Real Estate is generally more stable than stocks. We do not expect significant changes in prices in the short term.
Historically, Real Estate has been a very solid long-term investment. Particularly if you get to build memories while living in a resort community like ours. Real Estate inventory remains incredibly low across the nation and especially in Utah where in addition to low inventory we have a housing shortage. With mortgage rates at a 50 year low, homes will continue to be bought and sold. There will most likely be a slight pause in new transactions or listings as we all adjust to the new circumstances related to the covid-19 social distancing. However, we see the likelihood of some wonderful buying opportunities in the near future. Beginning with your objective in mind can help you formulate how to get where you want to be. We'd love to discuss this with you further. Let us help you plan your strategy related to investing in your future with real estate.
